A business owner reviewing operations, representing selling a business with CBB Group

Selling a business, handled properly.

Selling a business is not the same as selling equipment. It involves valuing a going concern, qualifying buyers and working through due diligence — the process matters as much as the price.

How the sale process works

  1. 1An initial discussion about the business and your objectives.
  2. 2Gathering business information and understanding what is being sold.
  3. 3Reviewing financial performance and what a buyer will want to see.
  4. 4Considering valuation and what the business is realistically worth.
  5. 5Qualifying buyers so you are not sharing information with everyone.
  6. 6Working through due diligence and coordinating the transaction.

What to expect

We will be honest about what the business is likely worth
Buyer qualification protects your information
Due diligence takes time — we coordinate it rather than rushing it
You decide, at every stage, whether to continue

Fees and engagement terms depend on the transaction and are discussed directly with you before proceeding. We do not guarantee a buyer, a sale price or a completion date.

Selling equipment instead?

That is a different service. If you are selling machinery, vehicles or trailers rather than a business, we can sell it for you — a $499 listing fee and 2.5% when it sells.

Business sale enquiry

Tell us about the business.

A separate enquiry from a standard funding application. Tell us about the business and we will come back to you.

Please share general information only at this stage. Do not send financial statements, tax returns, identity documents or banking credentials through this form — we will provide a secure channel when the engagement reaches that point.
