Heavy equipment on a transport trailer

Unlock the capital tied up in equipment you already own.

If you own qualifying equipment outright or have built up equity in it, a refinancing or sale-leaseback structure may let you release working capital while continuing to use the asset in your business under an approved financing arrangement.

Estimated equipment value is not the same as an approved advance.

A valuation is one input. The structure, available proceeds and whether you keep using the equipment all depend on the asset, proof of ownership, any existing liens and the financing program. Nothing about the figure you enter in the calculator should be read as an approval or an offered amount.

How the process works

What happens after you reach out.

Step 1

Tell us about the asset

What it is, roughly what it is worth and your current position on it.

Step 2

We assess the structure

We look at the asset and your ownership position, then identify which programs fit.

Step 3

We gather documentation

Make, model and year, serial number or VIN, hours, estimated value and any existing balance.

Step 4

Lender valuation

The lender determines the value it will lend against and the terms, under its own criteria.

Step 5

Structure put in place

On approval we coordinate the documentation, any lien arrangements and the release of funds.

Step 6

Capital released

You receive the funds released from the asset and keep operating the equipment.

Frequently asked questions

01
What is a sale-leaseback?
In a sale-leaseback, the equipment you own is sold to a financing party and leased back to you under an agreed structure, releasing the capital while you continue to use the asset. The specifics depend on the program and the asset, and we will explain the structure before you commit to anything.
02
Can I refinance equipment that still has a loan on it?
Often, yes — if there is enough equity and the existing lender can be paid out as part of the transaction. Tell us the outstanding balance and the current lender and we will work out whether a restructure makes sense.
03
How much can I release?
The advertised financing range is $15,000–$250,000, subject to lender approval, eligibility and transaction requirements, at rates from 9.99%. How much is actually available depends on the assessed value of your equipment and any existing balance.
04
Do I keep using the equipment?
Yes — that is the point of the structure. You continue operating the asset while the capital tied up in it is released.
05
What documentation will I need?
Typically make, model and year; serial number or VIN; hours or kilometres; an estimate of current market value; any existing financing balance; photographs of the equipment; and your business information and banking records.
06
What equipment can be refinanced?
Machinery, commercial vehicles and appliances are the common categories, along with other qualifying business equipment you own or hold equity in. What matters most to the lender is the condition and worth of the asset itself, so tell us what you have and we will confirm what the relevant program will consider.
07
What do lenders look at?
Qualifying programs typically assess three things: the condition and worth of the equipment, the credit history of the borrower, and your business income and financial health. Requirements vary between programs, and we tell you what the relevant one actually needs before you apply.
08
How long does it take?
Usually a few days to a few weeks, depending on the lender's requirements, the equipment appraisal and how quickly the documentation moves. Valuation of the asset is the step that most often sets the pace, so having the details ready up front is what keeps it quick.
