THERE'S NO AUCTIONEER. NO RESERVE. NO $25,000 SURPRISE.
We list your machine across every major Canadian marketplace, handle every inquiry ourselves, and work to a realistic retail value. You keep possession the whole time — and you are never obligated to sell for less than you wanted.
The auction problem
At auction, the price is whatever the room decides.
Auctions sell with no reserve. If you wanted $32,000 and the hammer falls at $25,000, you are legally obligated to sell at that price. You find out what your machine is worth at the exact moment you have the least control over it.
Then there is the day itself. Your machine has to be transported to the yard, it competes against everything else in the line, and the buyer has one afternoon to decide. You also pay the auction fee on top — typically well above what we charge.
You set your price. Not the room.
We never sell below the price you agree to. If it does not sell at your number, you keep it — there is no obligation.
How we sell it instead
We take the time an auction cannot.
We are not auctioning your machine. We list it to a realistic retail value and then work the market properly — which means weeks of exposure, not one afternoon.
We target a realistic retail value and work to sell within 90 days.
$499 to list. 2.5% when it sells.
The $499 listing fee covers getting your machine in front of buyers on every marketplace. The 2.5% commission only applies when the machine actually sells — and because it is a percentage, the closer we get to retail value, the more we make. Our incentive is to sell it for what it is actually worth, not to move it quickly at any price.
If it is commercial equipment, we can sell it.
We are not a truck auction and we are not a construction-only brokerage. Our buyer database and lender network reach across every commercial category — which means your machine is not sitting in front of a narrow audience waiting for one specific buyer to appear.

Not sure whether yours is worth listing?
Send us the make, model, year and a couple of photos. We will tell you honestly what it is likely to bring and whether consignment is the right route — before you commit to anything.
You list it. Then what?
Listing on Kijiji takes ten minutes. Answering what comes next is the actual work — and it is the part most owners get wrong. We handle all of it for you.
Every inquiry answered
We field every call, text, email and message. You are not interrupted at work or on a job site.
The right questions asked
We know what to ask to find out whether a buyer is real, funded and serious — before they ever get near your machine.
Qualified buyers only
We screen out the tire-kickers and the no-shows, so the people who come to view are actually in a position to buy.
The deal moved to close
We know how to carry a $50,000 machine from first message to completed sale — without waiting on luck.
We do this every day. You do it once.
Thousands of clients in our database, buyers approved and waiting, and multiple brokers working your machine alongside everything else we have listed. You post one ad and hope someone shows up with a duffle bag of cash. We work the market with the reach and the relationships to actually move it.
We can finance the buyer. You cannot.
This is the part nobody talks about, and it is the single biggest reason a machine sells through us instead of through you.
Most people who want a $50,000 machine do not have $50,000 sitting in a bank account. When you sell privately, that is the end of the conversation — no cash, no sale. You are limited to the small pool of buyers who can pay in full.
We are a commercial financing company. We already have the lender network, the approvals process and the brokers to arrange financing for the person buying your machine. Your buyer does not need the cash. They need a payment plan — and we provide it.
Selling it yourself
Your market is only buyers with the full amount in cash. Everyone who needs financing walks away — and that is most of them.
Selling through CBB
Your market includes every qualified buyer, whether they have the cash or need it financed. Far more buyers, and they can pay your asking price.
More buyers see it as affordable
A $50,000 machine becomes a manageable monthly payment. That single change opens your listing to buyers who otherwise scroll straight past.
They can pay your asking price
A cash buyer negotiates hard because the money is coming out of their pocket today. A financed buyer is working within a payment, not a lump sum — so your price holds up.
Financing is already approved
We work with buyers in our database who are approved and waiting. For them, buying your machine is a purchase decision, not a lending decision.
Sold and financed in one move
The same team handling your inquiries can arrange the financing, so there is no gap between the buyer saying yes and the machine leaving your yard.
Two businesses, one transaction.
Most sellers are trying to move a machine. We are a commercial financing company that also sells equipment — which means we can put a financed buyer in front of your machine instead of waiting for a cash one to appear. That is why it sells faster, and why it sells closer to what it is actually worth.
See our financing programsHow it works
- 1You tell us about the machine and what you want for it.
- 2We agree a realistic retail value with you.
- 3We list it on every major Canadian marketplace at once.
- 4We answer every inquiry and qualify the buyers for you.
- 5You keep possession and show it when a serious buyer is ready.
- 6When it sells at your price, we take 2.5% of the final sale.
We work to a 90-day target, but a sale is not guaranteed and neither is a timeframe. What is guaranteed is that we never sell below the price you agree to.
Equipment we sell
Twelve categories and counting — if it is commercial and it has resale value, we can list it.
Auction selling vs. selling with us
| Auction | Selling with CBB | |
|---|---|---|
| Your price | No reserve — you are legally obligated to sell at whatever it bids | We never sell below the price you agree to |
| Exposure | One afternoon, in one room, against the whole line | Kijiji, Castanet, Equipment Trader, social media, Marketplace and our site — for 90 days |
| Who answers buyers | You do — or nobody does | We handle every inquiry and qualify every buyer |
| Getting it sold | Transport it to the yard and hope the right buyer is in the room | We know what to ask and how to move a $50,000 machine to close |
| Cost to you | Auction fee, plus transport, plus the day off | $499 to list, plus 2.5% of the final selling price when it sells |
Auction terms, fees and transport charges vary by auction house and are set by them. These rows describe how the two methods differ, not a promise of a sale or a saving.
| Final sale price | Illustrative auction cost | CBB cost | Illustrative difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| $100,000 | $16,000 | $2,999 | $13,001 |
| $60,000 | $10,000 | $1,999 | $8,001 |
| $30,000 | $5,500 | $1,249 | $4,251 |
Auction cost assumes a 15% auction fee and approximately $1,000 in transport. CBB cost is the $499 listing fee plus 2.5% commission on the sale price shown. Actual auction fees, transportation and other charges vary. These examples are comparisons, not promises of savings.
Am I obligated to sell if the offer is too low?
No. We never sell below the price you agree to. If a buyer offers less than your number, you are free to decline and keep the machine.
When do I pay?
The $499 listing fee gets your machine listed across every major Canadian marketplace, handled by us. The 2.5% commission applies only when the machine sells, calculated on the final selling price.
Is a sale guaranteed?
No. We cannot guarantee a sale, a selling price or a timeframe. The $499 listing fee covers the listing and marketing work regardless of the outcome.
What if it doesn't sell in 90 days?
90 days is our target, not a deadline. We will talk through the position with you at that point — there is no obligation to continue and no penalty.
Do I keep the equipment?
Yes. You retain possession the entire time. We bring you qualified buyers; you show it when someone serious is ready.
Who sets the price?
We agree a realistic retail value with you, and we will tell you honestly if we think a number is unrealistic. Our 2.5% means we only do well when you do.
